F for FAIL

First Attempt In Learning.

When I first heard this quote by a mentor of mine, it hit.

My world isn’t crumbling.

It’s okay for me not to act the way I think I should act. It’s okay if things don’t go the way I want. Failing, it is so subjective. By being so scared of failing, we are inclined to freeze and find comfort in inaction. We end up never growing. Stuck in the same old place, fearing each day the action that becomes a monster, stronger and scarier.

But getting used to getting back up after each fail is how to assure yourself that you will be okay; you have to get back up.

This makes me think about babies. Babies try walking again and again. They first wiggle, turn over, crawl, sit, climb, walk. It takes each stage such an incredible amount of trying and failing again and again. But babies never stops trying. And you were that baby; you didn’t give up.

You have that grit; never forget that.

You never fail if you never stop trying.

This is the answer; just keep trying. Keep failing. Remember, you only truly fail if you stop trying. At each attempt, you will learn and grow.

Be gentle with yourself and appreciate your hard work and your dedication.
